Cabello Hair is a salon that offers the best in creative hairstyling for every client's individual needs. Cabello Hair was founded in 1999 in Windsor, Ontario, Canada by Robert Cory. The continual success of our salon can be attributed to the building of strong relationships with our clientele. Taking the time to talk to our clients finding out what kind of look they would like, how long they spend on their hair and what other personal needs they feel are important. Here at Cabello Hair we are highly educated in the art of "consultation." With an educational academy within the salon, every salon staff member from the assistant to the manager is given ongoing training and product knowledge. Stylists and technicians with the latest trends and techniques can therefore give haircare advice to all of our very knowledgeable clientele.

  Cabello Hair has a New York loft look & feel. With a mezzanine in the back, where the chemical work is, you can see all of the action on the main floor. Here on the main floor where all of the cutting and styling is, you can feel an energy lift you up. Part of this energy may be the result of our dj booth spinning the latest in music.

  At Cabello Hair, we carry the full line of Bumble and Bumble hair care products.Bumble and bumble creates stylist-inspired, editorial-quality hair products that are coveted by session stylists, actors, models, fashionistas and beauty junkies. For our chemical services, we use Redken Fifth Avenue NYC products. They are the leading haircolor company in the industry with ammonia free products that leave the hair soft, moist, and ultra shiny.

• Cancellation Policy

  24 hours notice is required for cancellations, and you may do so by telephone. If it is less than 24 hours before your appointment, it is the salon's policy to charge the full rate for missed appointments without appropriate notice.

Colour-Care Tips

• When you colour your hair the colour is vibrant and full of dimension, but it will fade fast and become dry and damaged if you don’t protect it. Colour treated hair requires a little extra TLC. Here are some things you can do to make your colour reach its full potential!

  Always wash and rinse your hair in cool water.

  Hot water opens the hair shaft so much that your colour will be exposed and will become worn down. Hot water also makes the hair dry and frizzy on the styling end. Washing and rinsing your hair in cool water will keep your colour in tact longer and seal more moisture into your hair. Out of all of these tips, this one is the easiest to do and probably the most important.

  Use sulfate-free shampoo or ones specifically formulated for colour treated hair.

  Clarifying and deep cleansing shampoos are designed to remove chemical (product) buildup, so you do not want those types of products in your colour treated hair. They will also cause drying to the hair if you have high-level colours or bleach. If you have to wash your hair more than every three to five days, co-wash with a moisturizing conditioner in between shampoos; such as: Bumble and Bumble Quenching Conditioner or Bumble and Bumble Super Rich Conditioner.

  Deep condition with every wash.

  You will need to install as much moisture as possible when your hair is wet so it stays in your hair in the days after washing. Intense hydrating masks should be rotated into your wash routine every week. Some suggestions: Olaplex Hair Perfector No. 3, Bumble and Bumble Hairdressers Invisible Oil Masque, Bumble and Bumble Super Rich Conditioner.

  Use heat protectants/leave-ins with SPF or UV protection.

  TSun breaks down chemicals in colour, so you need to make sure you are using a foundation product such as: Bumble and Bumble Prep, Tonic & Invisible Oil Primer even if you are not planning to heat style your hair. They help preserve the colour from hot tools, chemicals, environmental effects, harsh water and UV rays.

Hair-Care Tips

  Tip #1

  After shampooing and conditioning your hair, give it a quick cold rinse to seal in moisture and shine.

  Tip #2

  When using hot tools (hair dryer, curling iron, etc.) on your hair let it cool for a few minutes, this will lock in the shape for lasting style.

  Tip #3

  Although a base or foundation product such as Bumble And Bumble "tonic", "prep", or "primer" does not feel like anything in your hair, they are the most important products since they protect from heat, uv, and any other oxidants that may damage or fade hair.

  Tip #4

  Try not to scrub your hair with a cotton towel after cleansing. Cotton grabs the cuticle and creates "frizz". Air drying is always the best!
